This gorgeously ornate space has been a gem of American culture since the 1920s, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A Greene Shop's work with the Landmark included stabilizing and repairing decorative plaster, performing upgrades to bring the lighting up to 21st Century energy efficiency standards, and restoring the painted patterns of an intricate gilded dome. Meet Our Founder

Aaron Greene hails from a family of artisans, with generations of the Greene family devoted to the architectural arts. His earliest memories include sorting mosaic tiles by hue in his dad's workshop, and lending a hand to improvement projects in the Rockland County Victorian home he grew up in. Aaron has studied architecture, painting, glassblowing and metalwork at the internationally renowned School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and at Penland School of Craft in North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains.

Prior to launching A Greene Shop, Aaron worked for over two decades at New York City-based Evergreene Architectural Arts, where he was known for being an out of the box thinker with a talent for creative problem-solving. Aaron's innate curiosity inspires him to not only strive for an exquisite finished product, but to accomplish it with seamless efficiency. To Aaron, a challenge is an opportunity for innovation.

A family business through and through, A Greene Shop is run by Aaron and his wife, Morgan. After traveling America to restore our nation's treasures, they are so excited to do this work closer to home, while instilling the reverence for historic architecture in their two young children. The Greene family is delighted to live in Steuben County, and is continuously inspired by the region's natural beauty and strong sense of community.
